Passenger car tyres –the value equation

To make the precise purchase decision easier for you, we group the alternatives into three major classifications:

  • Good - those tyres that offer value for money - budget level in both performance and price.
  • Better - mid range in price and performance, generally fitted to a family type car with most of the driving around town and a long distance trip maybe once a year.
  • Best - higher performance tyres from the major brands. They are the more expensive tyres and usually give the best performance in ride, handling, wet grip and generally do the best job.

Remember, getting it right isn't always a matter of price. Often the tyre that best suits your needs is not the one at the top of the range, and to pay more than you need to lessens the value.

All our clients are created equal

If our Manager, Phillip Hannaford, walked into the lingerie department to buy his wife a present, he would expect professional advice, helpful service and politeness.

He doesn't know (and perhaps won't want to know) the explicit details of the product he's buying, but because his dollars are buying it he deserves simple explanations to help his decision.

We're sure you know why we're saying this.

Because if you're a woman whose car needs attention, Phillip, and all of our team at Frank Cross Tyres are there to give you the same respect and attention they'd give a Race car driver. Always!

Three passenger Tyre tyes fit all

  • Standard – for smaller sedans with regular tyres. For those with a less expensive town car or as the second family car.
  • Larger – for cars that require a more robust tyre, family style sedans and station wagons that will be driven by everyone in the family.
  • Performance - for cars that need lower profile, higher performance tyres, especially important for road holding at higher speeds.
